I cannot recommend Amanda highly enough. I was really nervous about coming for a massage; I'm autistic and I was really worried it would be out of my comfort zone. Amanda was so patient and nurturing with me - both in our communications before my first visit and then during my initial treatment. The difference it makes when somebody has taken the time to accommodate for things like autism is really not celebrated enough. We all recognise words like "anxiety" and "being on the spectrum" but to make the effort to really accommodate them is really special in my opinion. And on top of all of that, Amanda is simply an incredibly knowledgeable, experienced & skilled massage therapist! I've been going back ever since my first visit. Thank you so much Amanda! Sam

I have been a couple of times now to see Amanda for an Indian Head massage. Both times I have left feeling so relaxed that I floated my way home. The feeling of calm and relaxation that this treatment brought about within me lasted for a few days, and I guess you can't ask for more from a massage. Amanda was careful to ask what I needed from the session and how firm or soft I like the massage to be. Highly recommended

After having headaches for a prolonged period I went to The Massage Room for a head massage to see if it might offer some relief. The massage helped almost immediately and has offered long term help. I continue to see Amanda and cannot recommend her highly enough. Her knowledge and experience is second to none and she has also helped me with back and shoulder tension too.

I initially went to Amanda hoping for help with chronic migraines, and since seeing her regularly, I haven’t had one. She truly knows how to tailor each session to what your body needs.

I had a brilliant experience with Amanda. From the moment I arrived, she made me feel completely comfortable and welcomed. Her massage technique is really good she intuitively knew exactly where to focus and blended relaxation with just the right amount of pressure. The atmosphere she created was soothing, professional, and calming, making it easy to unwind. I left feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and genuinely cared for. Amanda is warm, attentive, and incredibly skilled. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a truly outstanding massage experience. I regularly see Amanda and will continue to.

Amanda initially undertook a detailed assessment of my problem areas, and then developed a treatment plan based on my needs. I particularly like the personalised aromatherapy oils she has selected for me, along with the actual massage. The environment is calming and the whole experience is very relaxing and effective for me. Thank you Amanda.

I have a monthly appointment with Amanda. At the first appointment Amanda took a lot of time to understand physical issues I was suffering from, which included some neuropathy in my foot as well as back tension from long computer hours working in IT. After my first back and neck massage the symptoms in my foot started dissipating (appears it was referred pain). Amanda takes time to listen, understand and recommend the best massage treatment for you, and knows which pressure points to concentrate on. My body feels re-aligned and grounded. I cannot recommend her service enough and I will be a long-term returning customer as it is the best monthly investment in myself.

I have been seeing Amanda about six weekly since I moved to the area 2 years ago. She is a lovely professional practitioner who takes note re areas of concern and reviews them next time to note improvement. Her massage technique is wonderful, firm enough for great effect without being painful. Her treatment room is warm and comfortable. I feel better after every visit.

Amanda is AMAZING! I had a massage therapist who I saw regularly pre-covid, but after that, I was lost as she stopped practising. I tried many people between then and finding Amanda, and i cannot recommend her highly enough. She is someone who works with you, really cares about you and aligns the treatments to your needs. I am reluctant to say GO as I don't want her to get flooded and not be able to book! 🤣 But go, she's brilliant

I now see Amanda once a month, whether it’s for bad posture as I sit at a desk all day or gym/ sport related. Amanda not only tackles any immediate aches and pains but also focuses on working at the root cause. A fantastic experience all round in a lovely tranquil setting.

Amanda provides consistently professional and relaxing massages. I always feel in very capable hands and Amanda is great at making me feel very welcome and confident in her technical abilities. She always has a lovely oil diffuser and twinkly lights to add to the relaxing feel and takes hygeine procedures very seriously which is reassuring in a post-covid world. I can highly recommend for a de-stress or managing chronic pain!

Amanda’s massages are close to magic! I return every month without fail as maintenance and leave feeling so good. She listens to what I’ve been struggling with that month and tailors the massage to whatever I need help with. I can highly recommend The Massage Room for a massage deep enough to work but won’t have you saying ‘ow’ on the table. Just fab.

I went to see Amanda as I frequently suffer from neck and back pain. Amanda took a detailed history and listened very carefully to the exact problem areas. She then created a personalised massage based on those troublesome areas. After my first massage I felt immediate relief and I have been having monthly maintenance massages since. I have no hesitation in recommending Amanda - she is excellent, professional and very knowledgeable. Amanda keeps me on track and has been a very good find!!

I went to see Amanda as I have suffered with pain in my shoulder and neck for a long time. After just one session, both moved easier and felt a lot more comfortable. I followed up with a second session a couple weeks later. When I walk out of Amanda’s after a massage, I feel my muscles are relaxed, I am relaxed and my whole body feels more comfortable with itself.

It is not one size fits all with Amanda. I am a regular client and each time we discuss which areas of my body need special attention. All my aches and pains seem to magically disappear and I always leave Amanda feeling like I’m walking on air. I would highly recommend Amanda if you are in need of a professional and knowledgeable massage therapist.

When I first went to Amanda at The Massage Room I was in a lot of discomfort. I was impressed by the thoroughness of the assessment made and the subsequent treatment provided. I am still going regularly and my discomfort has reduced considerably. I would have no hesitation in recommending Amanda to anybody seeking a knowledgeable and professional practitioner.

Amanda has been really helpful with getting rid of a whiplash type unjury from falling off my horse, which resulted in my neck and shoulder being constantly tight and restricting, one session with Amanda and this was 100 times better! My second session I asked for help with my calves and hamstrings as I suffer from plantar fasciitis which tight calves does not help. She treated my calves hamstrings feet, and shoulder in this session, which has helped to breakdown some of the scar tissue build up around the damaged plantar which also helps to promote healing, and the plantar doesn’t feel as tight and my feet arnt cramping! My hamstrings and calves also feel a lot freer. I am hitting PB’s in my CrossFit classes with more movement in my shoulders in overhead movements and would throughly recommend amanda

Having been visiting Amanda for over 18 months on a monthly basis, she is great at understanding what aches and pains need treatment but also from her notes revisits them. I know that if I need a high pressure sports massage from tight muscles or releasing pressure points, or just a relaxation massage for stress release across the shoulders. Then she is the person that can cover all of those areas. Plus in the current pandemic, it is a safe clean and professional environment.

A trip to Amanda is a real treat. She takes time to find out about you and treats you accordingly. She has a unique gift of healing while also making you feel relaxed and pampered. On top of that, you also get a bottle of your own blend of oils to take home. The best bit? I always sleep so deeply after seeing Amanda and wake feeling completely rejuvenated. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Amanda take the time each appointment to talk through how I have been doing and what my needs for the massage might be. In this, it is never a generic experience. Every time is a little different, tailored to what I am seeking. She is well qualified and experienced, with an excellent understanding of anatomy, and so for anyone with aches and pains you will be in very good hands. I highly recommend Amanda's service!

Amanda is a very knowledgeable massage therapist. I've been going for treatment 5 times now and I will keep going for regular aroma therapy massage. The appointment starts with a consultation where you describe your problem areas and she focuses particular attention on those. She finds the knots and tension areas and smoothes them out. I would definitely recommend.
